We may change this policy from time to time in order to address new issues and reflect changes on our site. We will post those changes here so that you will always know what information we gather and how we might use that information. This policy does not apply to your use of unaffiliated sites to which any of our sites may link.
The Julian Institute of Plastic Surgery maintains this web site to provide general information only. The content is for informational use only and is not intended to make claims about safety and/or efficacy of any product/procedure mentioned.
Some of the information contained in this web site may not be applicable to every situation. A patient contemplating surgery or a facial procedure should seek and select a physician experienced and qualified to perform the procedure.
IMPORTANT: For any cosmetic surgery, there will be exceptional, average, and below average scenarios regardless of who performs the surgery. The results you can hope for are dependent on you, your anatomy, your heredity, lifestyle choices, whether you smoke, drink, take medications and/or vitamins, and any previous cosmetic surgeries. Most important is your commitment to maintaining your post-surgical results by following your surgeon’s recommendations.
Your information is private and never sold or shared with others. The Julian Institute of Plastic Surgery is committed to protecting your personal information and respecting your privacy. Some Web sites covered by this policy may request personal information from you in order to complete a form or transaction. Credit card information is not stored or re-used in any manner. The Julian Institute of Plastic Surgery collects information that is voluntarily provided by those individuals who communicate with us via e-mail or who submit forms on our web site.
We will also collect information about aggregate Web site usage. Statistics that we gather about unique visits, repeat visits and page views are all based on IP address, not on your individual activities. Non-personally identification information might include the browser you use, the type of computer, technical information about your means of connection to our site-such as the operating systems and the Internet service providers utilized, and other similar information. We may also automatically gather information about the areas you visit and search terms you utilize on our sites or to navigate to our sites and about the links you may select to reach our sites. We use such information to administer the site and, in the aggregate, to understand how our users as a group use the services and resources provided on our sites. This way we know which areas of our sites are favorites of our users, which areas need improvement, and what technologies are being used so that we may continually improve our sites.
Users may find content on our sites that link to the sites of third parties. We do not control the contents or links that appear on these sites. In addition, these sites or services, including their contents and links, may be constantly changing. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party sites or services before providing any of them with your personal information.
It is our policy not to respond to unsolicited e-mail without knowing the name and address of the person who is communicating with us. We also do not open any email attachments from individuals we do not know. E-mail communications do not establish a patient-physician relationship which can only be established with a one-on-one office visit with a thorough history and physical examination, which we are not soliciting. If we offer general information, it is only that and may not be applicable to your individual situation and does not take the place of a visit to a physician.
Please note that E-mail messages sent to this or any Web site may not be secure. Please also be aware that there is no guarantee of confidentially in e-mail communications and ours are not encrypted. There also may be delays of unknown length in the time for us to respond. Site visitors are discouraged from sending confidential information by e-mail. Although we strive to protect your privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of information you disclose in an email and you disclose such information at your own risk. Site visitors sending e-mail accept the risk that a third party may intercept e-mail messages. If you still wish to communicate with us via email after reading this and wish us to respond, please e-mail us, but understand that by doing so you are accepting these conditions and realities.
