The Julian Institute is happy to announce that we have added VASER liposuction to our comprehensive list of cosmetic procedures. VASER liposuction adds several new benefits to traditional liposuction which has been the most requested cosmetic procedure in the country.
Why Choose VaserLipo?
VASERlipo gently and effectively eliminates fat for a smooth, naturally beautiful look, all with a fast recovery time.
VASERlipo™ is the customizable body sculptor that eliminates fat and smoothes the skin’s surface, making you look and feel your best. This minimally-invasive liposuction procedure uses ultrasound waves to selectively liquefy small or large areas of fat while the surrounding tissues are left intact.
How VASERlipo compares to other procedures
Tens of thousands of patients have chosen VASERlipo as their ideal body contouring procedure. When you compare VASERlipo to other procedures, it’s easy to see why.
How Treatments Compare
Laser-Assisted Liposuction/Laser Lipolysis
|How It Works||
Laser-assisted liposuction uses thermal energy to destroy fat cells and seal off surrounding vessels. The tissue is then removed with a traditional liposuction tube.
Destroys fat by heating the tissue.
Only good for small pockets of fat. Can cause thermal damage to important tissues. Fat cannot be used for fat transfer procedures. Laser liposuction may only produce minimal benefits over traditional liposuction1.
Traditional Liposuction (Suction-Assisted Liposuction)
|How It Works||
Traditional liposuction is a method in which the surgeon inserts a suction probe through a small incision, pushing and pulling through the fat layer to break up the fat tissue. A suction pump is then used to draw the fatty tissue out of the body.
Most common form of liposuction performed.
Conventional liposuction tends to have greater blood loss than VASERlipo2. Tissues that are fibrous (love handles, bra rolls, male patients) are difficult to obtain good results with conventional liposuction.
|How It Works||
Similar to suction-assisted liposuction, power-assisted liposuction uses a specialized tube and mechanized movements to help break up the fat tissue.
Fastest form of liposuction.
Power-assisted liposuction can produce contour irregularities and lumpy-bumpy outcomes because it may be difficult for the surgeon to control the device.

HOW VASERlipo WORKS
The Science Behind the Art
VASERlipo™ produces superior results by treating areas of fat with ultrasound energy, then gently removing the fat through a small tube inserted under the skin. This minimally invasive process is gentle on the body and supremely effective, giving patients the smooth contours they want with far less pain or recovery than traditional liposuction.
VASERlipo uses a minimally invasive liposuction technique that selectively breaks apart and gently removes unwanted fat.
- The targeted area is injected with a special saline solution (tumescent fluid) to numb the area and shrink local blood vessels. It also temporarily expands the volume of the target area, making fat cells easier to remove.
- Small probes are then inserted into the body through small incisions. These probes resonate at a high ultrasound frequency, shaking fat cells loose while leaving surrounding tissues intact.
- The loose fat cells mix with the tumescent fluid, and are then removed from the body using special cannulas which help preserve the tissue matrix.
- After surgery, patients are prescribed a recovery regimen to promote maximum skin retraction and smooth results. Your physician may recommend massage therapy to enhance results and speed recovery.
Infiltration The fatty layer is injected with tumescent fluld.
Ultrasonic Delivery VASERlipo ultrasound probes cause the fat cells to shake apart and combine with the tumescent fluid.
Aspiration Loose fat is easily removed via specially designed suction tubes.
Skin Retraction During the healing process, skin will retract to give smooth, natural-looking results.
